Ms. Cynthia Bernard
Managing Partner
Cynthia Bernard graduated from the University of Miami School of Law cum laude in 1995. She began practicing in the areas of criminal defense and insurance defense, served as Chairperson of the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association and received the James A Dixon, Jr. Young Lawyer of the Year Award in 2000.
Ms. Bernard relocated to Connecticut in 2001, and resumed practicing in the area of personal injury. She is a zealous advocate for her clients and is committed to helping the injured or otherwise harmed receive fair and just compensation. She currently represents the interests of victims of negligence involving car accidents, pedestrian accidents, dog bites/dog attacks, premises liability, defective products and medical malpractice.
Over the past 20 years, Ms. Bernard has devoted hundreds of hours providing pro bono legal services to low income individuals. She has volunteered at Legal Services of CT, served as Program Director for Child Advocates of CT, and represented children in the child welfare system in Connecticut. In addition to her private law practice, Ms. Bernard provides counseling to low income women studying at Mercy Learning Center in Bridgeport, CT.
Ms. Bernard is an active member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Women's Caucus, and the Fairfield County Bar Association.
